While press releases and cultural transmission materials are common materials for understanding a country's self-construction of international images, to what extent the speeches at international conferences are effective in shaping national images is yet to explore from a perspective of cognitive linguistics? The present study compiles the minutes of 26 meetings of the United Nations Security Council on “the situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian issue”, from which the speeches by U.S. representatives were selected to establish a corpus, and explores the self-construction of the American international image with conceptual metaphor theory. It is found that JOURNEY metaphor, BUILDING metaphor and so on are instrumental in shaping its image of advocating peace, but SEED metaphor and NEIGHBOR metaphor, etc. reveal its intention to perpetuate the conflict and double standards in dealing with the two conflicting parties.

The study examines the impact of income on depression levels among individuals aged 60 and older using data from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS) 2020. It found a correlation between income and depression, but the regression analysis did not show statistical significance. Higher levels of depression were associated with marriage and self-rated physical health, while lower levels were associated with gender, education level, and place of living. The research suggests a "four-in-one" synergistic process to improve the mental health and well-being of the elderly.

On March 16, 2014, Crimea held a referendum to leave Ukraine as part of the Russian Federation. The referendum is a legal procedure used by the people of a region when applying the principle of national self-determination, while the public investment in Crimea involves national sovereignty and territorial integrity. So, when the principle of national self-determination and territorial integrity conflict, does the referendum comply with international law and be recognized? Crimea and public investment in Russia are the case of "foreign self-determination". This paper analyzes the applicable conditions of "foreign self-determination" and the situation of the Crimean people's exercise of the right of national self-determination, and makes specific judgments on the legitimacy of Crimea and public investment in Russia.

The sudden attack of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the rapid spread of the virus, has caused a severe impact on the psychology of medical staff, patients and ordinary people. In order to reduce the negative impact of the epidemic on the people's psychology, China has begun to provide professional music mental health services for different groups of people to reduce the psychological harm caused by the epidemic. Chinese music therapists actively participated in epidemic prevention operations and launched a number of "fighting the epidemic-psychological assistance for music therapy" programs. According to people's emotional and psychological adjustment needs during the epidemic, the project carried out music psychological public welfare activities for various key groups. Activities include music listening, music relaxation, music imagination, music painting, song discussion, song lyrics, body rhythm, etc., from listening and experiencing music to participating music interaction and other rich group music psychological activities. Through music experience and interaction, the activity relieves negative emotions such as anxiety and depression, increases positive and pleasant emotions, promotes communication and interaction among participants, reduces loneliness caused by isolation, and promotes family harmony.
